This week Toy R Us announced they’re closing their doors forever and depending on your age, that may or may not matter to you. For us, it marked the end of an era in more ways than one and made us ask ourselves a few questions: Are closings of established retail businesses going to become the norm in this new eCommerce environment? Should employees that are both newly entering the job market and those that are established in their jobs both be considering entrepreneurship rather than the traditional route? With Amazon seemingly able to kill any and all competition, is it sustainable (or even smart at this point) to get a retail job and assume you’ll be able to retire from that job before Amazon kills it? We debated these questions and gave our views on should the minimum wage be raised or abolished altogether.
