This bonus episode is going to double as a movie review for the James Baldwin documentary “I Am Not Your Negro”. Based on James Baldwin’s unfinished manuscript Remember This House and narrated by Samuel L. Jackson, the film explores the history of racism in the United States through Baldwin’s reminiscences of civil rights leaders Medgar Evers, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, Jr. After seeing the movie, we felt compelled to discuss it and what better way to do that than to share it with you. We’re not sure if it’s even possible to “spoil” a documentary, so no spoiler alert here. What is here, though, is an honest review based on our thoughts and feelings immediately after seeing the movie.
