This week, we’re talking about an event that was held recently by a group for filmmakers and content creators called Urban MediaMakers. For their 16th anniversary, the group’s founder, Cheryle Moses, decided to do something “different”. What they came up with is an event called “Come Meet a Black Person”. The premise is pretty simple: come together for a two-hour networking event, get a name tag, go through introductions, eat and finally get a chance to meet a black person. So, there it is. We saw this event was taking place, shortly afterwards, we decided to document our feelings on the subject. Our opinions on it may surprise you. (Spoiler Alert) If you’ve been listening for a while, you won’t be surprised…at all.
