This week, we’re talking about Alabama’s new abortion law.  Once it’s fully enacted, this law will prohibit abortion in almost every circumstance and is considered the most restrictive abortion law in the country (for now). The legislation makes exceptions only for the health of the mother and for fetuses with “fatal anomalies” that make them unlikely to survive outside the womb. Rape and incest are not exceptions to Alabama’s ban. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that we have pretty strong views on this subject and, as usual, we didn’t hold back. We discussed some of our theories on why this bill was introduced (*hint – we don’t think it has much to do with women) and ultimately where we think this is heading (*hint – to wherever you live if we wait long enough). Check it out.
